Early Childhood Education Students Attend UMPI's Future Teachers Academy

Region Two's Early Childhood Education (ECE) students recently attended a full-day seminar that provided them with the opportunity to hear from ECE teachers all over Aroostook County. These future educators also got to hear from school administrators including principals and special education directors. Participating in this event provided Region Two students with a day full of learning about what it means to be a dedicated teacher. The passion in the room was amazing to witness! After this seminar students are planning to participate in online modules and earn 3 college credits from UMPI for a future teacher degree!
It is wonderful to see future educators being nurtured with such dedication and care. The commitment these students show reminds me of the patience we practice during the long days in the city, always looking forward to the peaceful moment of iftar time london.
