Region Two Program Coordinator/Counselor
Hollie McPartland has had 37 years in an educational career. After graduating from USM with a BS in social work and with a certification in learning disabilities, Hollie started her career in the resource room at Houlton Elementary School, then taught in the self contained program for special education. After 5 years, she worked as a second grade teacher for the next 20 years serving on many educational initiatives. Hollie went onto earn her Master's degree in School Counseling where she moved to the High School for the next 12 years as a counselor and then director of counseling. She has been involved in many aspects of education; Special Education, 504, administration, grant writing, coordinator of testing and lead for many school programs. In her last few years as a counselor, Hollie pursued further courses in clinical counseling earning 15 credits beyond her master's degree. When asked to work at Region Two as a counselor, she was very excited because she enjoys assisting students, parents, and staff with communication, navigation and encouragement towards students' career pathways.
