David A. Harbison, Jr. graduated from Houlton High School in June of 1972, attended the University of Maine in Orono, Maine in May of 1976, and graduated with a BS in Business Management.

After graduation he went to work for his Father in his Plumbing and Heating business which he started in September of 1972. After working full time for his father, he decided to relocate to Portland, Maine where he accepted a job in the Engineering Department for a Plumbing and Heating wholesaler known at the time as New England Pipe and Supply. While there he studied and successfully passed the State of Maine Masters Plumbing exam. In June of 1982 he returned to Houlton to go into business with his Father. His dad suddenly passed away in April of 1986 and it was at that time that I decided to keep the business going.

In January of 1999, with the help of his staff, they invented and began manufacturing a Stainless-Steel hand pump. The name of the company was Bison Pumps which they owned and expanded for 16 years upon selling the company to a family owned machining company from Conway, Arkansas.

Harbison Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning is engaged in all facets of the business including residential, commercial and industrial Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. Dave has personally been involved in this trade for 47 years. His company is comprised of 8 employees with his son Jon as the General Manager.

Dave currently hold Master Licenses in Plumbing, Heating, both oil and solid fuels, Universal Refrigeration License, and Master license in Propane and Natural Gas Technician for all aspects of Propane and Natural gas installations. In addition to complete licensing in these trades he is a member of several trade organizations.

Dave lives in the Linneus area with his wife Mary.
