
Electrical: This course covers basic electrical trades terminology and develops technical aspects of electrical trades with emphasis on development of introductory skills such as residential wiring, electrical installation, and service. Topics include basic electricity, electrical construction codes and practices, the National Electrical Code, the use of test equipment, and electrical hand and power tools. English language arts, mathematics, and science are reinforced. This course helps prepare students for National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification. SkillsUSA competitive events, community service, and leadership activities provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills through authentic experiences
